Staying in a beautiful piece of Japanese modernism was a delight, especially one that's been lovingly cared for. Breakfast was good, and I especially liked I could open our bedroom window. It's also very handy for Bikan neighbourhood.

It was very well located for visiting Kurashiki. The staff was extremely welcoming and the facility was very nice for the price. Great choice! We later stayed at a more charming space inside the historic district, which was lovely, but for the price, we were happier at Kokusai. Next time we’ll stay there again.

It seems like an older hotel but not in a bad way, more of a hotel like in the movies sort of way, very nice reception and easy check in. I never heard any noise from any adjoining rooms. good location.

The location was fantastic. It was 30 seconds from the Bikan area and there was a convenience store just across the road. Also, both the room and the bed were much bigger than normal for the price.

Kurashiki Kokusai Hotel is two minutes away from the canal along which there are shops, restaurants and a fabulous museum called Ohara Museum of Art. The hotel staff was accommodating and professional.
